The Bach Choir
David Hill Conductor
Music by Will Todd
Word by Michael Rosen

This new album of approachable choral works has at its heart a new cantata commissioned by The Bach Choir as part of its outreach to children programme Lights, Stories, Noise, Dreams, Love and Noodles. Adults and kids alike respond with enthusiasm to this collaboration between composer Will Todd and poet Michael Rosen.  Other works on the disc include Will Todd’s vibrant settings of Shakespeare for choir and orchestra Songs of Magical Creatures, and a work in memory of Mark Blanco Kites, Cards and Constellations.

“echoes, memories, pictures and sounds of a city: and the words and music that spring from it all.”  Michael Rosen

"...infectious music-making of the highest order. In short, this CD is a lot of fun." Choir and Organ, Philip Reed

"a delightful, colorful work that would be ideal for family concerts.....enjoyable, vivid new music recommended to all except those who recoil at the slightest hint of popular influence" AllMusic Review, James Manheim
