Other Info: Wonderland Restored is adapted from Will Todd’s hugely successful opera Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland which was commissioned by Opera Holland Park in 2012 with a libretto by Maggie Gottlieb. The familiar characters, blues-inspired music and comic libretto are accessible to children, and enjoyed by both young and old audiences. Wonderland Restored was commissioned by Opera North for the Big Sing project in 2019. It was designed as an immersive singing project to be performed by 10-12 year olds with a professional eleven piece orchestra, SATB chorus and professional soprano soloist who sings the role of Alice and narrates the story.
