Other info: Immortal Love Called God was commissioned by Liverpool Cathedral and Dr & Mrs Adams on the occasion of the centenary of the Cathedral's consecration and in loving memory of Thomas Adams (2009-2022). It is a setting of words drawn from Colossians 1:1 3-23 and including original text by Canon Philip Anderson. The tenor solo at the beginning may be sung by the tenor section if required. The director should feel free to to move speeds on at places and at others to pull back as feels appropriate to the performance and, as such, the metronome marking is a guide only.
