GOD, MY LIGHT, MY HEART is a setting of a specially written text by Angier Brock which was commissioned in memory of Beatrix Tyson Rumford for Bruton Parish Episcopal Church in Williamsburg, Virginia. The setting is in three distinct sections and outer legato material should contrast with the energy of the central ⅞ section. The organ should underpin, sustain and warm the harmonies in the outer sections and be a brighter and more featured presence in the central part.
