First performed in 2003, Will Todd's Mass in Blue for soprano, choir and jazz ensemble also blends two different traditions: that of a sung Mass, one of the oldest forms of European music and that of the blues.
Also being performed, and preceding Mass in Blue, is Bob Chilcott's A Little Jazz Mass.
