Other Info: Written for the Vivace Chorus, dedicated to the memory of Keith Hester. The Lord is My Shepherd is a beautiful lyrical setting of Psalm 23 and was written as the 4th movement of Todd’s Te Deum which was originally performed by a choir of 120 school children in Guildford Cathedral. It is also available in a version for mixed voices.
The Lord is my Shepherd; therefore can I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures and leads me beside still waters.
Though I walk through the valley of death, I will fear no evil;
for you are with me; your rod and your staff comfort me.
Surely your goodness and loving mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord.
