Ubi Caritas I (Instrumental Parts)

Other Info:  Ubi Caritas I is the first of a pair of settings of the famous Ubi Caritas text for the Opus 8 Youth Choir in the Netherlands written in 2015. (See Ubi Caritas II for alternative setting).

"As I worked on the text I found I had two very strong ideas and because I didn't want to choose between them I ended up completing both. They are different in style; Ubi Caritas I is lively and scored for brass and percussion. The second setting is slower and more expressive, featuring piano and bass as well as brass and optional SATB choir."
