Other Info: Adam Lay Y-bounden was commissioned in 2016 by Solihull School and is scored for SATB with either piano or organ accompaniment.  These famous words which have been set by so many eminent composers, are from a 15th Century macaronic text of unknown authorship and they relate the events of Genesis, Chapter 3.  The British Library, which holds the manuscript on which the poem is found, dates back to the reign of Henry V c.1400 and speculates the lyrics may be attributed to a wandering minstrel.
