Der Neue Chor der Stadt Bochum are performing Will Todd's PASSION MUSIC.
The Choir writes:
"The program includes the work “Passion Music” for choir, gospel soloist and jazz ensemble by the British composer Will Todd (*1970) interwoven with pieces by the medieval composer Hildegard von Bingen.
The work, which Will Todd wrote in 2017 for the choir of St. Martin-in-the-Fields, combines classical choral sound with jazz elements. The New Choir was able to recruit a jazz soloist and an ensemble made up of students from the Jazz Institute at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen to take part."
